ConnectPort X5 R Configuration

Before you can begin the process of configuring your ConnectPort X5 R device for use with MAP, you must follow the instructions within your device's quick start guide.

Note: If you have already completed the instructions within your device's quick start guide, proceed with the Mobile Configuration section.

This guide will help you identify the accessories included in your box, show you how to connect this hardware to your device, and show you on how to install a SIM card into your device.

Note: A SIM card must be supplied and activated by a cellular service provider for device operation.

A printed quick start guide should have been included in your box. However, an online version is also available from the Digi Support website:

For ConnectPort X5 R GPRS users follow the steps within the ConnectPort X5 R GPRS Development Kit Quick Start Guide.

For ConnectPort X5 R Iridium users follow the steps within the ConnectPort X5 R WiFi GPRS Iridium Development Kit Quick Start Guide.

Once you have completed the steps described within your device's quick start guide, you're ready to begin configuring your device for use with MAP.
